Nascar is the most popular sport in America, but I think it is hard to call anything without a ball, a sport. Football would then be the most popular probably because of the immense amount of violence involved. Americans love violence and what is more violent than 300 pound dudes running into each other really violently (and I used some form of the word ‘violence’ four times in the last two sentences, five if you count the phrase in parentheses). But football is so much more than tackling. Perhaps the most strategic of the major sports, football is an incredibly complex game. When fully understood, one can easily watch every college game on Saturday, every pro game on Sunday, the Monday night game and the college games throughout the week, but I mean, who would do that? I mean, no one I know, hmmm.
